Welcome to Year 6

We are excited about the year ahead and are looking forward to the challenges that we face along the way. During the year our children are ready to work hard to achieve their full potential. We have activated our year by jumping into our new World War topic. Throughout this term we will be learning about how the war has changed Britain, looking especially at The Battle of Britain.

Throughout this year we will be preparing the children for the SAT’s.  The tests will include; Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation, arithmetic, reasoning and reading. We also plan to have fun throughout this busy year while enhancing your child’s enthusiasm for learning.

You can assist your child by helping them with their homework and ensuring they have it in on time. If you would like any extra work or have any other queries do not hesitate to contact the school office and make an appointment.

Harvest Festival

Year Six Graduation

Hearts and Heroes Valentine Disco

Year 6 -Play in a Day

The children in Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their play in a day at Cardinal Hume on Wednesday 19th September.  Their theme was "Titanic" and great fun was had by all. The children performed their play for the rest of the school and it was fantastic.  Well done Year...

Year Six – Play in A Day @ Cardinal Hume

The Year Six classes will be going to Cardinal Hume on Wednesday 19th September.  They will be there all day, returning to school at 3.30pm. :Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch and wears the correct school uniform.

Year 6 SATS

This week is SATs week in school.  Please remember to make sure your child is in school on time, has had breakfast and a good nights sleep.  Thank you. We wish them all good luck, they have worked very hard this year.
