Year Two

Miss Archibald

Welcome to Year 2!

Year 2 marks the last year of KS1 and it is a fun, exciting and busy year.

We will be having lots of fun learning new and exciting things happening throughout the year and of course producing some fantastic work! We will aim high together with the children and endeavour to do our very best! However, it’s not going to be all work, work, work because there’s always room to squeeze in some fun and games along the way! We are looking forward to a great year, which is being kick-started with the topic Australia. G’day mate!

The children will be given homework every Friday which is to be returned on a Wednesday. Homework will reflect on the learning the children have been doing in class.

Here in Year 2 we love to read.  As in Year 1 we will continue to encourage children to read on a regular basis and we hope to have your support in this. Please ensure your child returns their reading book to school each week.

The children have PE on a Tuesday and Wednesday. They must ensure they have a full PE kit on these days.

Don’t forget to check our class page regularly for updates, photographs and recounts of the activities we’ve enjoyed.

We are all raring to go and cannot wait to get started.
