Computing

ICT is now a core subject of the curriculum with four aspects of study; finding out, developing ideas and making things happen, exchanging and sharing information, reviewing, modifying and evaluating work as it progresses.

Children will develop the ICT skills as they work with a range of information, explore a variety of ICT tools and investigate and compare different uses of ICT.  These will include word processing, data handling, assembling text and pictures, finding information using CD ROMS, reference materials and the internet, email to share information.

ICT will continue to make an important contribution to Literacy and Numeracy.  We have a purpose built ICT suite and a class set of Ipads to be used in classrooms.
