QUOTE FROM POPE FRANCIS’ ENCYCLICAL ON THE ENVIRONMENT, LAUDATO SI

All of us can co-operate as instruments of God for the care of creation, each according to his or her own culture, experience, involvements and talents.

WEAR A HAT DAY

Thank you for your support for ‘Wear a hat day.’ Staff and children came into school wearing a wonderful array of hats and we have raised a brilliant £137.62 so far for this amazing charity. J

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

The after school clubs are starting a new half term week beginning 1st May.  If your child would like to join, please complete the request form and return it to school with payment as soon as possible.

TELEPHONE NUMBERS

We have noticed that a lot of the contact telephone numbers held in school are incorrect.  As you will appreciate, it is very important that we have up to date telephone numbers in case we need to contact you.  Please ensure if you change your numbers, let us know.

ABSENCES FROM SCHOOL

If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason you must call the school office (4878641) to advise us.  Please call between 8.15 and 9am.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE DURING TERM TIME

As you may be aware, amendments to The Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006 make it clear that Head Teachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances and that Head Teachers should determine the number of days a child can be away from school if the leave is granted.

Should a leave of absence be taken without prior authorisation, Penalty Notice may be issued by the Local Authority.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Please ensure your child is wearing the correct uniform for school.  This is black or grey skirts/trousers, red polo shirts, red cardigans/jumpers and sensible shoes.  It is not acceptable for children to wear sandals with toe posts.  Jewellery and earrings are not allowed for health and safety reasons.

If you wish to purchase uniform please see the office staff for an order form.
