On Wednesday 13th July we had a very exciting trip to Adventure Valley.
When we arrived, we went into a special theatre for a mini beast show. It was really exciting. First, we were able to hold a cockroach, it felt so strange.
“It felt really tickly” said Callum
“It had hairy legs” said Summer
“It felt really strange on my hand” said Millie
After that the lady brought out 2 giant African land snails. They were really slimy!
“They were really strange, they made my hand all sloppy” said Arin
“It was slimy on my hand – yak!” said Megan
Then all of a sudden the lady showed us a 5ft long snake. Mr Purvis and Miss Marsh were so scared they ran away! Luckily Miss Archibald, Mrs Brophy and the rest of Year 2 were very brave and couldn’t wait to find out more about the snake and have a little hold.
“I was surprised how dry it was” said Connor K
After that we saw a beautiful Lizard called Jeff. He had really sharp claws and very dry skin. Finally, we met Bertie, the fastest tortoise in the country. He was super cute and took a real liking to Miss Marsh.
Then we had free time to do whatever we wanted. We played in the soft play, cannons, pillow trampoline, ring slide, castle, go-karts, zip are and we even had a ride on the tractor.
It was an exhausting day but we had such fun!
“My favourite part was jumping on the giant pillow trampoline. It was funny to see the teachers join in.” said Megan
“I loved going down the giant slide on the rings.” said Parina
“The soft play was my favourite.” said Krzysztof
“I loved walking around the castle and going down the slide. It was great fun!” said Alfie
